Swiss Re pegs H1 global insured cat losses at $38bn

The first six months of 2022 brought $35bn in global nat cat losses and $3bn in additional manmade event losses, according to a latest estimate from Swiss Re Institute.

The reinsurer said the H1 total for nat cats is 22% above the average of $29bn during the past decade.
