Post-Irma challenges drive cat de-commoditisation: Swiss Re

Philipp Rüede, CEO at Swiss Re’s Alternative Capital Partners (ACP), said that natural catastrophe risk has become more de-commoditised in the past five years, after the reinsurance industry took significant losses. 

As a result, industry players have witnessed more variation in performance between ILS platforms.
