Aon pegs year-to-date global natural disaster insured losses at $99bn

Preliminary insured global natural disaster losses year-to-date are roughly around $99bn – including an initial view of Hurricane Ian based on publicly available estimates, Aon reported in its Global Catastrophe Recap.

Aon said total year-to-date preliminary economic losses were projected at $227bn, including the roughly $99bn to be covered by public and private insurers.
