Subtropical Storm Nicole is forecast to bring heavy rainfall across the Florida peninsula by Wednesday night, adding further misery in the wake of Hurricane Ian.

The National Hurricane Center (NHC) said in an update at 22:00 EST that Nicole will bring hurricane conditions and a dangerous storm surge to parts of the north-western Bahamas tonight.
