Australian storm and flood insured losses from 2020 onwards hit A$12.3bn

Insured losses from storms and flooding in Australia since 2020 have reached A$12.3bn ($8.67bn), according to the Insurance Council of Australia (ICA).

The organisation said every eastern state in Australia had been “significantly impacted” by flooding over the past three years, while south and western Australia had been hit by storms and cyclones.
