The Louisiana legislature has passed the $45mn insurance incentive bill designed to encourage more insurers to offer coverage in the state.

The fund was created in 2022 but not activated. Louisiana governor John Bel Edwards last month called for the legislature to convene an extraordinary session to appropriate money for the fund.
