Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has issued proposals to eliminate one-way attorney fees and fee multipliers for all lines of insurance and to modernize Florida’s “bad faith” law, in the latest set of reforms he described as the most “comprehensive in decades”.

Along with Senate President Kathleen Passidomo and House Speaker Paul Renner, DeSantis announced the reforms in a bid to prevent “predatory practices of trial attorneys who prey on hard-working Floridians”.
