Gallagher Re has appointed Alex McManus to lead its index-based capabilities and Romain Kapfer to lead its specialty business, with both relocating to Bermuda.

McManus will lead index-based initiatives on the Island, working closely with ILS unit Gallagher Securities.

The appointment will mean that industry loss warranty (ILW) and cat bond capabilities are “readily available” to the firm.
