Perils estimates Eastern Oz flood losses at A$6.5bn

Loss aggregator Perils has put its final estimate of the insurance market loss for the Eastern Australia floods, which happened between 20 February and 11 March, at A$6,527mn ($4,143mn).

The updated loss figure is based on detailed loss data by postcode and line of business and has been collected from most of the Australian insurance market.
