Property cat rates up 33% at 1.6: Howden Tiger

Risk-adjusted pricing for property catastrophe cover increased by 33% on average at the June renewals, within a typical range of 25% to 40%, according to Howden Tiger.

The range of price-increases include “important variations by layer”, the intermediary said, with rate hikes underpinned by “enduring low levels of capital to risk”.
