Third-party capital managed by PartnerRe has reached $1bn after achieving “significant” recent  growth, the company’s president and CEO Jacques Bonneau has said.

The reinsurer has recently raised capital from Covea and private equity firm Olympus, which said it had committed to a new short-tail retro specialty vehicle Laplace-C.
